A great stage play, badly produced and acted will be a disaster. And so it is with training programmes...
A great programme (with A1 content) but delivered badly - will reduce the value of the programme to the participants, and to the company making the training investment. The value that 'might have been' remains firmly locked away in the drawer marked 'potential'.
As sales people (and as managers) we too attended these programmes. Three day courses that could have been delivered in two days. Two day courses that could have been delivered in a day - and trainers that made you lose the will to live. Ineffectual, poor value and lacklustre, it is because of these programmes that training is held in low regard by some (generally by the people who attended - or those who mistakenly invested in these wasteful programmes).
Our aim has always been to provide high quality programme content with high quality delivery - so that the very best outcome is achieved for all concerned. A well designed programme, run by a skilled trainer who enjoys teaching others is a wonderful thing.
